Vliesofix is sticky on both sides so your two components can not move anymore while sewing,.... As a cover you have paper. So you can draw figures or patterns. Also a Silhouette cameo of Brother scan & cut can be useful for this. You can use it on many textiles even leather and thin wood. Only the temperature is different.
